Lots of companies have different tiers of cover which can be confusing. We like to keep things simple, so we have two options – with or without boiler cover. Both offer the same comprehensive base protection of 9 different emergencies.

No hidden charges here

You can choose to have an excess of £0 or £50 per claim, so there’s no hidden costs for callouts. We also don’t charge extra to pay monthly, to cancel, or change details on your policy.

Our claims line is there to support you whenever you need, 24/7/365. All our engineers are fully vetted and approved and we work with local tradespeople across the country, so you’ll be supporting independent businesses near you too.

What am I covered for?

Our policy gives £1,000 cover for up to 3 claims per year, and includes everything listed below as standard.

Main Heating System

This is usually your boiler and is covered against unexpected breakdown as long as it’s serviced at least once a year.

Discovered a leak in your home? We can send somebody to fix the problem, as your home insurance will likely only fix the damage the water caused.

Gas Supply

If something fails between your gas meter and appliance, we’ll make sure to restore the connection. But if you’ve got a leak, make sure to call the National Gas Emergencies number first before you ring us.

It’s pretty difficult in today’s age to get by without electricity, so we’ll get you powered back on as soon as we can.

We’ll send an approved engineer to get your water flowing again in no time.

Vital for washing the dishes and washing yourself, nobody wants to put up with no hot water for too long.

What do you define as an emergency?

A ‘home emergency‘ is defined as a sudden or unexpected event which, if not dealt with quickly, would render your home unsafe or insecure, cause further damage to your home, or cause personal risk.

Do you cover landlords?

No – our policy is only valid for your home that is occupied by the policyholder, not tenants.

Will I be covered for regular maintenance around my home?

No, Home Emergency cover is not a maintenance policy and does not cover the cost of routine maintenance in your home, nor does it provide or cover the cost of boiler servicing or maintenance.

What types of boiler do you cover?

Our policy provides cover for your main heating system when it is powered by:

  • Gas boiler
  • Gas combination (combi) boiler
  • Gas condensing boiler
  • Electric boiler

We are not able to provide cover for the following:

  • Oil boilers
  • Storage heaters

We are not able to provide cover for any boiler that is over 15 years old.

You are still able to take out a policy if your heating system is excluded though, and will still benefit from the 9 other emergencies that are covered from just £6.50 per month.
